Amusing Zynchronicity

Postby Paul » Tue Oct 25, 2011 3:18 am

Hello to everyone here on Zodiac Killer Facts. My name is Paul and this is my first post. I have been an avid fan of this web site, and have been steadily watching for nearly 3 years so far. Decided it was about time I actually subscribed. Whilst I have been devoting the past 2 years to the Z340 cipher, I have also developed an interest in the case, and I came across my first instance of 'Zynchronicity' last week.

Whilst looking through a rather humorous website last week, namely passiveagressivenotes.com, I was startled to see a letter from a disgruntled neighbour who left an angry message in the letterbox of the person who posted the letter onto the website.

See http://www.passiveaggressivenotes.com/2 ... /#comments
And http://www.flickr.com/photos/passiveagg ... 438589913/

I was instantly drawn to the six exclamation marks at the bottom, reminiscent of the "do my thing !!!!!!" comment from the Dripping Pen Card as sent to the Chronicle.

It's true, I have started seeing Zodiac-related ephemera everywhere I look these days!

File comment: I performed a simple comparison between the persons letter and a multitude of confirmed Zodiac letters. Who'd have thought Zodiac now lived in Colorado and was easily annoyed by loud noises?

Interesting. It gets even more weird when you meet someone named Paul Stein who tells you he moved to the other end of the block a year or so after Paul Stine was murdered and who knew 2 of the 3 teen witnesses as well as suspect Robert Hunter Jr (which is what prompted me to coin the term almost 11 years ago), and then you remember bumping into another friend of those same teen witnesses about 10 miles away just 14 months before. And neither incident occurred in the same city where Z murdered Paul Stine.

Zynchronicity is weird stuff, lol. And welcome to the board, Paul!

Welcome, Paul. I do think that is mere Zynchronicity but it's a pretty cool example.

I think the more time you spend on the subject, the more prone you become to random attacks of Zynchronicity. In other words, the more case knowledge you have, the more opportunity there is for something like that to strike a chord with something you've noticed before in Zodiac letters, activities etc. Bullitt's example is just freaky.

Hi Paul, welcome to the board.

I thought the full message that guy wrote was brilliant. I don't know what his ethnic background was but it seems clear it's not english but despite that it's a fantastic comment - "I hear you in my mind" lol.

Zynchronicity is a weird thing as we have all come to discover. Bullitt I believe it was yourself that coined the original many a year ago? In the interests of my own laziness can I call you Ed? I feel it only polite to ask first as I would consider it too familiar to just start doing so. Also can I/we shorten Zynchronicity to ZNY?

Yes, of course you can call me Ed (and I encourage everyone else to as well, lol). I'm the same Ed the Lucifer's Angel's signature refers to (although it should be obvious, lol). Anyway, yes, I coined that term way back on January 15th, 2001... hard to believe it's been more than a decade! I suppose it can be shortened, but I wonder if anyone might mistake ZNY for Heriberto Seda, the NY Zodiac?

Good point Ed (now I have to try and not write Bullitt lol). Go for back up plan then - ZYNC

Welcome Paul. When dealing with things like this case I know that I personally need to take a break sometimes from horrible things, because it can get you down. The humor and good cheer of the members on this site make me want to keep coming back, and I hope that you will too.

I know the site that you are talking about and it made me laugh to see you mention it.

Thank you everyone for welcoming me to the forum. I will now go back to reading "The Codes" section, as I enjoy reading about the 340. Cheers.

Nice to have you around Paul. Please try and be lenient with any drivel of mine....
