Mike Kelleher's POI
I noticed Mike B. includes Mike Kelleher's POI/suspect/"subject'/whateveryouwanttocallhim in the suspect section of the Zodiac Killer Facts board without information. Perhaps that is in the works? I know a bit about Mike Kelleher's suspect including his name but there's little to be found about him on-line. I found the little bit I do know interesting but I don't know enough to evaluate him as a "subject".
I do know that Mike Kelleher has always been reluctant to discuss his subject publicly and it's not hard to imagine why. I believe Mike was supposed to have given all of his information to Mr. Voigt a few years back before we ever heard of Gyke and we never heard anything further about the information other than a few cryptic questions. Is it a fair question to bring up Kelleher's subject here to see what is known about him?

Re: Mike Kelleher's POI
As an aside, may I suggest "Possible Suspect" as a good term for these people?
Re: Mike Kelleher's POI
That's as good as any, metal. In my mind, it's more important how information about a "possible suspect" is presented than the term we use. Suspect and POI, of course, often mean that an individual is suspected or "of interest" to only the person presenting the information.
In this case, I hesitate to bring up someone else's possible suspect without knowing a lot about him or whether the person who finds him of interest wants him discussed. I just found it somewhat disappointing that the information was passed on to Mr. Voigt and seemingly forgotten about. I don't know if Tom actually forgot about him, found him uninteresting or investigated him and decided not to discuss him publicly. Since he was referred to as a potential suspect on this site, I thought I'd inquire if anything more is known about him.

Re: Mike Kelleher's POI
If I recall correctly Mike Kelleher gave all his information on his subject to someone but I vaguely recall it not being Tom.
Mike wanted to get out off the game (as it were) because of health issues I believe.
I personally have never heard anything about his subject in which he was interested so I'd definitely like to read up on it if anyone has any sources to share.

I'm pretty sure the information was given to Tom but I have no idea what became of it.
Re: Mike Kelleher's POI
I did a little bit of research on this fellow for one of the better minds over at ZK.com before I was canned, there was a small group who were working on it. As I recall he was a knife maker in the SF area with some occult influences. A Google search reveals he later had some knife patents.

Re: Mike Kelleher's POI
I've been hooked on this guy ever since Mike Kelleher first mentioned him. What scant information I have on him really interests me. I'm presently renewing my efforts to find out more about Mike's POI, and anyone who's game is free to join me. Mike's a solid, level-headed researcher; in light of how impartial and objective he was in This is the Zodiac Speaking, I feel that for him to consider anybody a viable Zodiac candidate speaks volumes. He hasn't made any online appearances for a long time, and I recently dropped him a line to see if he's okay.

Ok, I'm curious. This is one aspect of the case I honestly say, I know nothing about. Do tell!?
Thanks,

Re: Mike Kelleher's POI
Hi Zam, Mike doesn't mention his suspect at all in This Is the Zodiac Speaking, only providing some preliminary information about him on the Zodiackiller.com forums. What he's publicly revealed about the man, whom I'll call 'Gregg', is as follows.
Gregg was a San Fransisco occultnik with ties to several interesting organisations. For one, he was a fairly regular visitor to an occult supply shop on Broadway known as 'The Mystic Eye'. Some mysterious private meetings took place on the second floor, which was also used for the preparation of costumes and regalia. Also, he was involved with a hub for the SF astrological rebirth movement called Solunar, which was first located on Post and had a second storefront on Geary. The second storefront was not open to the public, and also used for private meetings. Gregg also participated (slightly) in a group called the Society for Preservation of Occult Consciousness (SPOC). Connections existed between all three bodies; some of the founding members were either linked or the same.
Mike has described him as fitting Zodiac's description, except a few pounds lighter and without glasses. As for the knifemaker thing, I'm honestly starting to wonder if Gregg and the guy who holds the knife patents are the same. Their middle names and surnames are identical, but if we stick to the alias I've used, the patent holder's first name would be 'Greg' to our man's 'Gregg'. I've got a friend helping me do some digging, and my message to Mike also requested confirmation on the knifemaker angle.
