clue of murder?

Hi there,

I have recently saw crimescene photo's of "possible victims". These poor people were being stabbed. Looking at the wounds they reminded me of the strange symbols/stains on the January 29 letter. Could they be a clue about a murdervictim, possible stabbing someone in a certain patern that has some significance for him and which he drew in the letter?
Just thinking outside the box but interested enough to go through some crimefiles again (after a very long break from the Z case).
