I have a feeling that is going to be one painful read but I suppose we should keep an open mind. Serves me right for advocating discussion of new POIs.

I guess I'd advocate keeping an open mind if this was anything new-- it's not. It's the same nonsense from decades ago. It's really sad to see that Lafferty and Co. are still peddling this nonsense, and even more disappointing to see so many people who feel it's necessary to give them more attention today. This theory wasn't worth our time decades ago and it's certainly not worth wasting more on it now.

Dinners with a killer, 3 oaths taken (and presumably violated), written from memory because he was told to burn his files and notes. I can't wait. :violence-smack:

For a guy pandering comical research, he couldn't have chosen a better last name. But on the flip side, TV is cheerleading for him now, so that lends some credence....

I don't know why this guy is discounted so readily. I mean, three oaths, come on...... I heard that the people's hands were on their hearts when they took the oaths so they can't be lying. On the other hand, I heard that when they were told to "state your name", they said "state your name" instead of saying their names so this can't be legally binding............ ,

Speaking of Creedence, I saw John Fogherty in concert back in 1988 and before he did "Green River" he said that before Lake Berryessa was a lake, back in the 50's, it was called "Putah Creek" (pronounced pewt-uh). Putah creek is still there but now it doesn't start until after the Monticello dam which is the dam that was built to create the lake. His family used to go camping there and his dad referred to it as "Green River" and that's what the song is about. When I lived in Vacaville when I was in high school, I spent a lot of time at Lake B and Putah Creek as did many of my fellow students. Just a little known fact for the factoids......

Interesting, Esau. I had heard, and I may be in error, that before LB was formed, there was a small town located there, which was abandoned to make way for the lake.

It was the town of Monticello. That valley had an interesting history before it was flooded to make the reservior which, though located in Napa County, serves Solano County.
