Reference Gallery
Members of this site have repeatedly expressed their desire for an alternative source which would provide reliable access to reference material without the many problems which have come to define another online source. I stated that I would try to create such a source here at this site by this fall. While this will continue to be an ongoing project and I will add new items in time, I am happy to announce that those in search of Zodiac reference material now have that alternative source here at the Zodiac Killer Facts Document Gallery. I would like to again thank our own Aud8us for creating the gallery and doing the hard work necessary to build and maintain this site. We all owe him our thanks.
Some time ago, I posted all of the known and suspected Zodiac communications in the document gallery. Now, the gallery also features sections devoted to the four known Zodiac crimes. Each section is divided into categories such as The Victims, The Crime Scene, The Evidence, The Investigators, The Articles, The Reports, and more. As time permits, I will create new sections devoted to others aspects of the case including possible victims and other related cases, suspects, and more.
The gallery now contains more than 250 case-related photographs and over 300 pages of police reports, including dozens of pages which are not available at any other website. I will continue to add more images as I process more material, and I welcome any other items if anyone wishes to contribute to this collection.
The Zodiac Killer Facts Document Gallery
This collection has been created and provided for those who are seeking easy and reliable access to Zodiac reference material. These images are not watermarked. The police reports and other official documents have been scanned using the original, unedited documents. I have redacted these reports in order to protect the privacy of those named in the text. These images were created by scanning multi-generation photocopies and, therefore, readers will note that some pages are difficult to read at times. In order to minimize such problems while maximizing the viewing and use of these documents, I have "processed" these images in high-contrast when necessary and I have also "cleaned" the documents to remove most of the photocopy noise and other distortions created by time, damage, and wear. This process makes the text easier to read while repairing the wash out effect of multi-generation photocopies. At the same time, the process renders a clear white space which is closer to the original appearance of the new pages produced decades ago. This process also reduces the amount of black ink usually wasted when you attempt to print a document filled with photocopy noise and large, black patches of dark grain. The original pages were often crooked and, in some instances, the edge of the page was not captured by the original photocopy, thereby cutting off the beginning or end of sentences. For instance, the first letter of every first word of every line was missing but the word was obvious. So I simply copied the same missing letter from elsewhere in the text and placed it in its proper place at the beginning of the word. Whenever the content of the original text was obvious and clear, I replaced the missing letters or word using samples taken from the actual type-written text and font of the original. (When the original content was not clear or obvious I did not make any attempt to replace the missing letters or words.) I have also centered and straightened the pages while slightly increasing the margins in order to make it easier for those who may want to copy and print the pages of the reports to create your own hard copy collection. I have not altered the text of these reports or the content in any manner (other than the redactions and replacements).
As one who has been researching the Zodiac case for a long time, I know how frustrating it can be trying to gather all of this material, and I know it's often hard to keep track of all the links and places where material is available on various sites and pages. I hope that this collection will be useful to researchers and others, and that viewers will find this to be a user-friendly collection designed with their needs in mind. Again, my thanks to everyone for their support, contributions, suggestions and more. With the help of our members we can make this site a useful tool for anyone seeking a reliable source for Zodiac reference material.

Re: Reference Gallery
As a follow-up note, I have added more material to the gallery and will continue to do so over the coming weekend with more additions to follow in time. I have also placed a new link in the menu of the main site for a new page with a long list of links to each individual item in the gallery. If you wish to view the gallery or locate a specific item, you can now go to this page and select any individual item from the list.

Re: Reference Gallery
I have been spending a lot of time looking at this gallery and am amazed at all the materials there. I hope to get through it all at some point. I was looking through the evidence section of the Blue Rock Springs crime and saw those pictures of the clothing, shoes, lighter, etc. I was wondering when those pictures were taken because they are in color and the person holding up the clothing is wearing gloves to protect the evidence.
