Re: IDENTITY CRISIS
Although I do not necessarily agree with all of his conclusions, I have spoken to Ricardo by email once or twice, and he really does seem to be serious in his research. He always cites his sources, gives credit to everyone who has offered ideas, and offers many sides to every argument.
As well, he posts his email and asks for, and will accept any clarification or correction of anything he has posted. In my opinion, what he has posted is very fair and balanced. I don't want to make him sound like Fox News, lol. But he's no Tom Voigt, by far. I respect him.

Re: IDENTITY CRISIS
I've got to agree. From everything I've seen of his articles/blogs, Ricardo seems to be pretty straight up. I love the fact that he credits everyone, whether they're a "big dog" in the investigation or everyday posters on the boards, and he never shows any malicious intent. I'd say we need more people like Ricardo out there who go by the facts and not by who's delivering them.
Re: IDENTITY CRISIS
Ricardo has another update.
Morf found public records with Pat Hautz's signature so Ricardo's more convinced now.
He also states that Howard Davis is now saying that the PH letter doesn't seem to fit in the PH envelope.
Oh, I didn't realize that letters were still made on clay tablets in 1967.
I thought they were written on paper that could be folded.

Ha ha! Point.
Ricardo's the guy who came back super-quick on the amendment to the door photo, no?
Seemed like a heck of a good guy, from what I remember second-hand.
Re: IDENTITY CRISIS
Yeah Ricardo is OK.
Davis is having a hard time dropping the PH letter however.
Keep hangin' on there Howard.

Re: IDENTITY CRISIS
I don't see what the problem is. Patricia Hautz wrote the letter and it has absolutely nothing to do with Z (other than being linked to Z through CJB). The mystery has been solved, case closed.

As he's still pushing the "Manson connection", it would seems that's not the only thing Howard has a hard time dropping.
Re: IDENTITY CRISIS
Why do people come up with these ridiculous ways to hold on to their theories?
I gotta rank this one right up there.
The letter was too big to fit in the envelope.
Classic!
There are two problems I see. One is people not letting go when the evidence against what they are saying is clear (Davis), and the other is people not letting go when there is no evidence found after 2 1/2 years (Voigt).
The most likely reason Howard Davis doesn't want to get rid of this is that Davis' handwriting looks nothing like the Zodiac's and slightly more like Hautz's. Same reason he is pushing the Donna Lass Christmas card.

Re: IDENTITY CRISIS
This man is sick. He is the most deranged and dishonest person I have ever known. And he is lying about every single thing he says (and that can be easily proven if anyone bothers to pay attention). Now, he is panhandling, begging for money to pay his bills, and distributing the most vile and pathetic "podcasts" in a desperate attempt to salvage his permanently damaged reputation and his fading "livelihood." ANY person who charges money for this kind of garbage is seriously disturbed. I find it difficult to believe that any sane individual would pay $20 bucks just to listen to Tom Voigt have a nervous breakdown.
That statement petty well sums up the feelings and impressions experienced by many people close to this case, either academically or emotionally.
I think it took me about five minutes (honestly) to determine that Voigt is nothing but a sick, warped parasitic ghoul. He has no interest in solving this case, only in serving his own selfish monetary needs by exploiting the victims. He's so desperate for fame and wealth, he'd sell out his father as the Zodiac if he thought anyone would believe his claims.
As he's still pushing the "Manson connection", it would seems that's not the only thing Howard has a hard time dropping.
Davis is a complete nut. You can't watch the man for ten minutes and not come away with the impression he's a seriously irrational person. People like him, Betts and Voigt, the 'mainstreamers', do considerable damage to this case, and I find their lack of professionalism, integrity and logic an affront to the code and concept of true investigatorial methodology.

I don't mean to be rude, Mike, but unless you or somebody else actually questioned her about the matter and found that to be the case, you can't make such an assumption.
