41 years is a long time to wait for closure for their families.

as my own little tribute - the rough pencils of an illustration of them on which I was working at one time:

Those images would be better if you had not drawn crosshairs on their faces. I guess that is part of how one draws, though. I am no artist. I may have taken it wrongly.

It's how artists often draw faces, no correlation...

Their murder was definitely the end of innocence...literally. A young girl on her 1st date, a likable boyscout, in the wrong place at the wrong time. Crossing paths with a psyhopath that would go on to leave all of the residents in that area (and maybe the entire state)in a state of panic. I wasnt alive at the time of their murders, and I dont know what the Vallejo area was like back then, but I have a feeling that their murders ushered in a new atmosphere, and people started locking their doors, and looking at their neighbors in a suspicious way.

According to Butterbach, it was the only unsolved murder in the area, so it was a terrorizing incident. Zs

Living in Vallejo @ the time. Betty Lou was a year ahead of me in school.....and yes ... it changed the Wonder Years of Vallejo, forever! This explains my obsession with the case. And also a lot of Zynchronicity's. This case haunts and fascinates me at the same time. For awhile I looked at a few people I use to know with suspicion, and maybe still do to this day. And there are still quite a few POI's and theories I have major questions on. I did not know Betty Lou or David personality. But I do know people who knew Betty Lou, and had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. And heard nothing but wonderful stories about David. This case changed things an our age of innocence in Vallejo forever..........
I say a "little" prayer for Betty Lou & David and Family and Friends.......
