Hi all,

I've been away for a while and sometimes it helps... or not... :)

Yesterday I went for dinner with some friends, one of them was seated in front of me and his t-shirt image as so familiar that I could not stop to notice and stare for a while.

The image was very similar to the symbol in the halloween card... and what was it? Mountain peaks!

The wierd sign on the card could represent on mountain peak on the left and two on the right. It could represent a place and so being used on the envelope. I have no idea about the dots... could it be related to the mountain names? or also with the location?

I will try to post an image of the shirt so that you can check the similarity.

Edited:
-There's a Four Peaks landmark near Phoenix
-There's an address:
4 Twin Peaks Blvd
San Francisco, CA 94114

Of course, there are many theories concerning this particular symbol. I believe others have talked about this possibly representing and some other things possibly related to mountains. Submit

I've spent plenty of hours staring at that symbol and I'm sure I'm not alone about that but there are some things I've noticed about it I don't ever remember seeing anyone address.I'm sure they are just things i personally see that really mean nothing but I thought I'd mention them for the sake of discussion.Maybe it'll spark something positive.

Here they are...

If you put your thumb over the two middle dots you get a comic face.Does that mean anything?Probably not but there it is.Why do I have to cover two dots to see it?I don't know...meh...

If you turn it on it's side you get letters.F,L,and N.Again the dots don't seem to make sense but again, there they are.

I tend not to think he cobbed this symbol from anywhere.I think he drew this out from his own imagination but hey,I'm just as baffled as everyone else.

...look at this and tell me what you think...

I know y'all think I'm nutz thinking that Z very likely could have been a (navy) signalman or radio operator...

However, look at this in light of his "weird card symbol"....i think it's quite interesting....The second diagram shows what the "dots" could be as well...

Helicopter landing zone diagrams used by signalmen:

Lighted night signal pattern formation diagrams (for helicopters):

Yah I know the source is US Army, but the Navy would be similar....

(Interesting.....calculations of land slope, with degrees, etc.)

That is as good a guess as anything else I've seen,Zab.
The 'angles, degrees...land formation' stuff loosely fits with
radians and surveying.(which others have speculated about)
Z definitely didn't skimp when it came to weird symbols to ponder. I bet he would LHAO at us,4 decades later trying to make sense of it all.

I agree. Good as any Zabs.

I once looked at road markings. Problem is that we have lots of reasonable assumptions but no next stage. Something to make us say, that's it, that makes sense. That's the mystery I guess.
