Patricia Hautz has no knowledge that would help this case or the Bates case. She just wrote a letter. End of story.

I agree; she was like a lot of us were when we were younger, more idealistic than we might be now....(LOL....after life's realities and such set in... Image )

I'd like to believe that Ricardo was just stating the obvious-- namely, that some people are so obsessed and delusional that they refuse to deal with reality, especially when reality interferes with their pet theories and beliefs. I knew there would be people who would resist the truth (there always are), but this is just silly. My God. Enough is enough. It's over-- just accept it and move on.

In what will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone, Voigt has chimed in on the matter. He's posted an audio response (because now he can't even find the time to type a response in threads) basically putting doubt in the fact that the Hautz Michael found is the correct one (as there have been so many Patricia Hautzs found that have been the wrong one), that Hautz doesn't remember writing the letter (which he finds hard to believe) and this is being done to "discredit me and Howard Davis". He glosses over the fact that the handwriting on the envelope and Hautz' handwriting are strikingly similar (since we're not professional documents examiners) and brings up the "ATTN: Editor" difference. A great quote from Voigt:

...and so that's why he's (Michael) so insistent that he has found the real Patricia Hautz, but of course, he hasn't.

Then he immediately says:

I mean, at least it's not proven. It might be, but it might not be. So it is not etched in stone...don't believe everything you hear.

Way to hedge your bet there, Tom.

To me, there's no reason to believe that the Patricia Hautz found by Michael is anything other than the composer of the letter and envelope. While we don't know who wrote the "ATTN: Editor" part on the envelope, I'd say it's safe to assume it is coincidental that it shares some similarities with Zodiac's handwriting and is most likely that of a mail room clerk forwarding it to the editor. Case closed, again.

Tom Voigt is having a nervous breakdown for all the world to see because he is losing his "livelihood," and his mind. After I accurately noted that he was simply exploiting this case for his own gain, that he is using this tragedy to serve himself, that he has been misleading the families of the victims and the public, and that he is conning the public out of their money with the bogus claim that he is using it to conduct research when he is really begging for money to pay his bills, Voigt proved that I was right by releasing a podcast in which he begs for money, announces that he is charging $20 bucks for access to his lie-casts, and, believe it or not, he actually admits that he is using the money donated to his site to pay his bills.

This man is sick. He is the most deranged and dishonest person I have ever known. And he is lying about every single thing he says (and that can be easily proven if anyone bothers to pay attention). Now, he is panhandling, begging for money to pay his bills, and distributing the most vile and pathetic "podcasts" in a desperate attempt to salvage his permanently damaged reputation and his fading "livelihood." ANY person who charges money for this kind of garbage is seriously disturbed. I find it difficult to believe that any sane individual would pay $20 bucks just to listen to Tom Voigt have a nervous breakdown.

And, the notion that I conducted this research and posted my findings as an attack on Voigt and his fraud friend Howard Davis is just laughable. In Voigt's world, it's all about him. He doesn't seem to realize that it has nothing to do with him, and the only reason he and Davis were mentioned at all is that neither one of them ever bothered to do their own research or even use common sense before posting that envelope and claiming it was mailed in April 1967. Anyone who takes five seconds to examine that envelope would reach a different conclusion, but, as we have seen so many times in the past, Voigt can't be bothered to check his facts because he's too busy spending all of his time slandering others, defaming others, smearing others, accusing others without evidence, promoting frauds, and begging for money.

But Mike, Howard Davis found a completely different looking envelope for a phantom fourth Zodiac Bates letter that didn't exist. You gotta give him some points for creativity.

Hmm, wait a minute, lets not rush this. Does that offer come with a guarantee?

He goes though all the happenings regarding this letter in the past year culminating with the (hopefully) final chapter by Mike. However he states Mike assisted. I think Mike finally has put this puppy to bed, not assisted anyone.

Here's the crazy thing.

Ricardo, with the assistance of a "secret agent" researcher supposedly found amazingly that the Oct. 1st article Hautz refers to was actually an October 30th, 1967 article, by locating the newspaper in question.

The really crazy thing is that Tom Voigt has known this for at least nine years.

http://www.zodiackiller.com/Newscenter3.html

He gave away a copy of the October 30, 1967 RP newspaper as a prize on Nov 2nd, 2001.

Thanks for helping us out Tom.

You are such a team player, always looking out for the facts.

I have a feeling we are going to see Tom on a new reality show Zodiac Horder, where he is trapped in his 17 room apartment, and each room is full from floor to ceiling with Zodiac material he won't share with anyone.

Wow, when I'm not posting I can really do some digging. I'll go back to digging now. See you soon.

Ricardo has updated his update, and discusses the ongoing posting here. To clarify for Ricardo, I did not say that Tom was aware of the discrepancy between the article date and reference date mentioned by Hautz. However, it is hard to imagine he was unaware of this for the past nine years. Only he can tell us. Having a copy of the correct newspaper for the human interest story for nine years should lean us towards that conclusion. However I agree that Ricardo is the first person I've heard of to publicly announce the discrepancy. I believe Ricardo is a true researcher who wants the truth to get out. I can not say the same for Voigt, who sits on things like a mother hen and never gets up. Zs
